Frequently asked questions
What is Masala Chai and how is it different from Karak Tea?
Masala Chai starts from the same base as our Karak Tea: black tea boiled with cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and ginger, then simmered with fresh milk and sugar. We add more ginger, plus black pepper and black seed, so it tastes warmer and more peppery, with a gentle kick at the end.
Does Masala Chai contain any allergens?
Yes, it contains dairy (fresh milk). The kitchen also handles gluten, eggs and sesame, so cross-contamination is possible. The other ingredients are black tea, water, sugar and spices.
How do I store the bottle and can I warm it up at home?
Keep the sealed bottle in the fridge and drink it within a few days. To serve it warm, pour it into a small saucepan and heat gently over low heat, stirring occasionally, until hot but not boiling. You can also enjoy it cold straight from the fridge.
